Hiya - nice to meet you!
I’m Caitlin, and I run Bubble & Squeak Photography.
I’ve lived in Canterbury my whole life; everywhere from Amberley, to Kaiapoi, to Bishopdale and now my husband Matt and I have settled in Lincoln with our three wonderful daughters.
I’ve been a photographer since wandering around as a teenager with my old point and shoot. After many years enjoying taking photos, I decided I needed to learn more, and went on to study at SIT, graduating with a Diploma in Photography in 2020.
Bubble & Squeak has evolved to focus on fun family photography that is all about making sure people of all ages love having their photos taken. I truly want to ensure your experience will be as relaxing and stress-free as possible.
My favourite thing about photography is that no two photographers will ever see things the same way, or capture the same emotions in a person.
It’s a unique mix of art and science - which sums me up perfectly!
Why I photograph the way I do
I believe in documenting real life, as it is, and as you are.
I believe the only photos you regret are the ones you didn’t take.
As I’ve watched my children grow, I’ve often been the one taking the photos, as many Mums do. It was when my own Mum passed away in 2019 that I realised how few photos I had of her and I together when I was younger. Just like me now, she was often the one behind the camera.
So now I hand over the camera, or set the timer, and I get in photos. I make goofy faces and don’t worry about how I look.
I want to be a part of the memories they look back on.
And I want that for you, too.
